Herbed Tomato Sauce
|Tomatoes||1 Kilogram, chopped|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Carrot||1 , chopped|
|Chicken stock||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||3 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Oregano leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon, dried|
Saute onion, garlic and carrot in oil 5 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, sugar, stock, Worcestershire sauce and herbs, bring to boil, reduce heat, cover, simmer 30 minutes.
Puree mixture in blender or push through sieve.
Return mixture to pan, bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer further 15 minutes uncovered.
Store for up to a week, covered, in refrigerator.
