Brussels Sprouts and Herb Cheese Sauce
|Fresh brussels sprouts||1 Pound, trimmed and cut into half length wise|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|For herb cheese sauce|
|All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried chervil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Onion powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil leaves||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Skim milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Reconstituted natural butter flavored mix||1 Tablespoon|
|Shredded swiss cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In 1-quart casserole, combine Brussels sprouts and water.
Microwave at High for 5 to 8 minutes, or until tender-crisp, stirring once or twice.
Let stand, covered, while preparing sauce.
In 4-cup measure, combine flour, chervil, onion powder, basil, salt and pepper.
Blend in milk and butter-flavored mix.
Microwave at High for 2 3/4 to 4 1/2 minutes, or until sauce thickens and bubbles, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Stir in Swiss cheese untilcheese melts.
Pour sauce over Brussels sprouts.
