Tomato Basil Butter Sauce

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 4 Tablespoon, softened, divided
  Chopped seeded peeled tomatoes 1 Pound (1.5 Cups)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Salt To Taste
  Black pepper To Taste
  Finely chopped fresh basil 4 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in small skillet. Add tomatoes, sugar and garlic. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until liquid evaporates and mixture thickens. Remove pan from heat; stir in remaining butter until mixture has a saucelike consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then stir in basil.
