Strawberries And Bananas With Chocolate Coconut Sauce
|Coconut milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Semisweet chocolate chips||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Maple syrup||1 Tablespoon|
|Strawberries||1 Pint, washed, stemmed, and quartered|
|Ripe bananas||2 , peeled and cut into 3/4 inch thick diagonals|
|Dried unsweetened coconut||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1. Heat the coconut milk in a small saucepan until almost boiling. Remove from the heat. Add the chocolate chips, cover, and let stand for 2 or 3 minutes.
2. Uncover and add the vanilla and maple syrup. Whisk until smooth.
3. Divide the strawberries and bananas among 4 dessert bowls or tall parfait glasses. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over each serving, and then sprinkle a tablespoon of the coconut over the top.
