Poached Pears With Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients
  Ripe pears 4 Large, peeled and cored
  Apple juice 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon stick 1
  Orange rind 1 Teaspoon, freshly grated
  Lemon rind 1⁄2 Teaspoon, freshly grated
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon, ground
  Strawberry sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Mint leaves 4
Directions

From bottom of each pear cut a small slice so pears will sit upright.
In a large saucepan combine apple juice, sugar, cinnamon, orange rind, lemon rind and cloves.
Bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add pears; cover.
Poach for 20 minutes or until pears are tender.
Let stand in poaching liquid until cool.
Refrigerate until serving time.
To dessert plates remove pears with a slotted spoon.
Drizzle Strawberry Sauce over pears.
Garnish with mint leaves.
