Battery Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Pound (1/2 Cup)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced / pressed (1 Large Clove)
  Minced onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Catsup 3 Tablespoon
  Minced parsley 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Wine vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Dry mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Liquid hot pepper seasoning 1 Teaspoon
  Ground red pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Beer 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Melt butter in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart pan over medium heat; add garlic and onion and cook, stirring, until onion is soft.
Stir in catsup, parsley, lemon juice, vinegar, mustard, hot pepper seasoning, pepper, and beer.
Bring to a boil; then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until flavors are blended (about 5 minutes).
Use to baste chicken during last 30 minutes of barbecuing.
