Easy Basic White Sauce
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|White pepper||1 Dash|
|Nutmeg/Ground nutmeg||1 Dash, grated|
In 2-cup glass measure, heat milk on 70 (roast) 2 minutes.
In 2-cup glass measure, melt butter on HI (max. power) 45 seconds.
Stir in flour, cook on HI (max. power) 1 minute.
Briskly stir in warm milk, pepper, and nutmeg.
Cook on HI (max, power) 3 to 4 minutes, or until boiling, stirring once during cooking.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with cooked broccoli and cauliflower, or use as base for other sauces.
