Thick And Hearty Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Olive oil 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), minced
  Canned italian plum tomatoes 28 Ounce, undrained and roughly cut in large chunks (1 Can)
  Canned tomato paste 12 Ounce (2 Cans, 6 Ounce Each)
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Add More Quantity, If Needed)
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
  Dried sweet basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Heat oil in saucepan over medium heat; add onion and garlic and saute until golden.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered over low heat about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Add more water if necessary, but remember—this sauce should be thick.
