Cauliflower In Cheese Sauce
|Cauliflower head||2 Pound, pounded (1 Medium Head)|
|Canned condensed cream of mushroom soup||10 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground nutmeg||1 Dash|
|Toasted sliced almonds||1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)|
1. Remove and discard core and outside leaves of cauliflower. Place whole cauliflower in 2-quart microwave-safe casserole; add water. Cover with lid; microwave on high 10 minutes or until tender, rotating dish once during cooking. Let stand, covered, while preparing sauce.
2. In medium microwave-safe bowl, stir soup until smooth. Add cheese, milk, nutmeg and pepper; stir until well blended. Cover with vented plastic wrap; microwave on high 5 minutes or until hot and bubbling, stirring once during cooking.
3. Place cauliflower on platter; spoon 1/2 of the sauce over cauliflower. Garnish with almonds. Serve with remaining sauce.
