Creamy Bread Sauce

|Milk||10 Fluid Ounce (300 Milliliter)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Ounce (15 Grams)|
|Fresh breadcrumbs||3 Ounce (75 Grams)|
|Onion||1 , stuck with cloves|
|Double cream||30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)|
Put the milk, butter, breadcrumbs and onion in the top of a double boiler over boiling water.
Stir in the cream and season with salt and pepper.
Heat slowly until the sauce has thickened.
Remove the onion and cloves and stir well before serving.
