Puree fruit in work bowl of food processor or blender until smooth.
Transfer to saucepan and bring to a boil.
In a small bowl combine cornstarch and water to form a paste.
Stir into puree and cook 1 minute, or until thick and clear.
Strain sauce; add kirsch.
Chill at least 1 hour.
