Fresh Red Chile Sauce

Ingredients
  New mexican red chiles 12 , roasted, peeled, stems and seeds removed
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Preferably Mexican)
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth, adding more water if necessary.
Sometimes fresh chiles will still have fibers after they are pureed; strain if a smoother sauce is desired.
Adjust the seasonings to taste, heat the sauce over medium heat, and serve.
Makes 2 1/2 cups.
