Coffee Sauce

Ingredients
  Strong coffee 1⁄4 Pint
  Milk 1⁄4 Pint
  Corn flour/Custard powder 1 Teaspoon
  Egg yolk 1
  Sugar To Taste
  Rum 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Thicken the coffee and milk with the cornflour or custard powder (see Cornflour Sauce).
Cool the sauce, add the egg yolk and cook it without boiling.
Sweeten and flavour to taste.
