Beef Sate With Peanut Sauce

  Peanut oil 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Large, minced
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Creamy peanut butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Sesame oil 1 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon zest 1 Teaspoon, grated
  Sirloin steak/Flank/ sirloin tip steak 2 Pound, cut into 1-by-1/2-inch strips
  Peanut sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Scallions 1 Bunch (100 gm), trimmed and cut into julienne strips

In a large skillet, heat the peanut oil.
Add onion, ginger, and garlic and saute over medium heat until softened.
Stir in 1/2 cup water, peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, cayenne, and brown sugar and simmer, stirring, for 3 minutes.
Stir in lemon zest and let cool to room temperature.
Transfer to a shallow baking dish.
Add sirloin strips and turn in the marinade to coat well.
Cover and let marinate, refrigerated, for 24 hours.
Arrange sirloin strips on a broiler pan or baking sheet and cook under a hot broiler for 4 minutes, turning once.
Pierce each strip with a toothpick, dab with peanut sauce and garnish with scallions.
Serve warm.
