Pears In Sour Cream Sauce

Ingredients
  Egg yolks 6
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Rum/Brandy/sherry 3 Tablespoon
  Canned pear halves 29 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Blend egg yolks, sour cream and granulated sugar in saucepan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture simmers.
Simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in rum.
Arrange pear halves cut sides down in ungreased baking dish, 8 X 8 X 2 inches, or individual ramekins.
Pour sour cream sauce over pears.
Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Set oven control at broil and/or 550°.
Place pears with tops 6 to 8 inches from heat.
Broil until brown sugar is melted, 1 to 2 minutes.
