Gingered Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Reduced calorie margarine 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped onion 5 Tablespoon (1/4 Cup Plus 1 Tablespoon)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Canned no salt added tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Dijon mustard 2 Teaspoon
  Reduced sodium soy sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Grated orange rind 1 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Heat margarine in a small saucepan.
Place over medium-high heat until margarine melts.
Add onion and garlic; saute until tender.
Stir in tomato sauce and remaining ingredients.
Reduce heat, and cook until thoroughly heated, stirring frequently.
Use for basting beef, pork, or chicken while cooking.
