Red Cherry Sauce
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||1 1⁄4 Tablespoon|
|Tart red cherries||1 Pound (pitted, with juice (water pack), canned)|
In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Stir in cherries with juice.
Cook, stirring constantly, till thick and clear.
Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes.
If desired, add few drops red food coloring.
