Sherried Date Sauce

Ingredients
  Pitted dates 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Light corn syrup 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sherry 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped preserved ginger 1 Tablespoon
  Shredded orange peel 1 Teaspoon, shredded
Directions

Cut dates length wise in quarters.
Combine with remaining ingredients; cover and refrigerate at least 24 hours.
