Noodles With Sweet And Spicy Meat Sauce

Ingredients
  Vermicelli/Fideos 1⁄2 Pound
  Lean ground beef 3⁄4 Pound
  White onion 1 , chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Jalapeno pepper 1 , seeded and finely chopped (Wear Gloves To Prevent Irritation)
  Ground cumin 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned whole peeled tomatoes 28 Ounce, chopped
  Tomato paste 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Chopped fresh cilantro 4 Teaspoon
  Grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. Cook the pasta according to package directions omitting the salt, if desired.
2. Meanwhile, heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it begins to brown, 4-5 minutes. Add the white onion, garlic, and jalapeho; cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion begins to soften, 3-4 minutes. Add the cumin and cinnamon; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened, about 15 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the cilantro.
