Cherry Sauce With Brandy
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cornstarch||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Brandy||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Cherries||1 Pound (pitted, canned in heavy syrup)|
1. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a 1-quart glass bowl. Gradually add brandy, stirring to make a smooth paste. Add lemon juice and cherries. Stir to blend well.
2. Cover bowl and microwave at Power Level 10 for 8 to 10 minutes, or until sauce is hot and thickened, stirring twice.
