|Smelts||1 Pound (Fresh / Frozen, Thawed)|
|Canned tomato sauce||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Prepared mustard||2 Teaspoon|
Clean, rinse and wipe fish dry.
In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Marinate fish in tomato mixture, cover and refrigerate for several hours.
Pour fish and marinade in a large skillet; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 8 to 10 minutes.
