Mom'S Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Sliced fresh mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Beef cooking liquid 1 Cup (16 tbs), strained
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 2 Dash
  Sliced green onion tops 1 Tablespoon (Thinly Sliced)
Directions

Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add mushrooms; cook and stir 5 minutes.
Remove and reserve.
Add cooking liquid, cornstarch, salt and pepper to pan.
Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in reserved mushrooms and the green onion.
