Zesty Orange Sauce
|All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Sugar substitute/2 tablespoons granulated fructose||3 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Very thinly sliced orange zest/Grated orange zest||1 Tablespoon|
In a small saucepan, mix together cornstarch and flour.
If using sugar substitute, set aside and add after sauce is cooked.
If using fructose, add to saucepan.
Gradually stir in water and orange juice, mixing so that there are no lumps.
Bring to a boil over medium to low heat, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 3 more minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in orange zest, butter, and sugar substitute if using.
Taste for sweetness.
Add more sweetener if needed.
This sauce is best served warm.
