|Olive oil||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Minced garlic||2 Tablespoon|
|Hot pepper flakes||1⁄3 Teaspoon|
|Tomato||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), peeled, seeded, and diced|
|Soft bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Anchovy paste||2 Teaspoon|
|Tomato paste||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sherry vinegar||2 Teaspoon|
1. In a medium skillet heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil over moderate heat. Add garlic, pepper flakes, tomato, and bread crumbs. Saute 3 minutes. Add chili powder and saute an additional 2 minutes.
2. Transfer mixture to food processor or blender. Add anchovy paste, tomato paste, and sherry vinegar. Blend until smooth. With motor running, add remaining olive oil very slowly, blending to make a thick sauce.
