Curried Sauce For Turkey Or Chicken
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), chopped|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Apples||1 , chopped (peeled, cored)|
|Curry powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chicken broth||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light cream||1⁄2 Pint (1 cup)|
In a saucepan, melt butter and saute garlic, onion and apple for 5 minutes.
Stir in curry powder and saute for 1 minute more.
Stir in flour and gradually add chicken broth and cream.
Stir over low heat until sauce bubbles and thickens.
Season to taste and add salt and pepper.
