Cornish Hens With A Chardonnay Mushroom And Onion Sauce

Savory and Mouthwatering -Sauted Mushrooms and Onions in a Chardonney Sauce for Cornish Hens and also savory meats
Ingredients
  Cornish hens 2
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  Fresh parsley 1 Teaspoon (for sprinkling)
  Onions 2 Medium, diced (peeled)
  Mushrooms 2 Cup (32 tbs), sliced
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chardonnay 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (or a little more as it burns off)
  European butter stick 1⁄4 (adds a smooth taste)
  Water 2 Teaspoon
  Seasonings To Taste
  Kosher salt To Taste
  Ground fresh pepper To Taste
  Paprika 1 Dash
  Steak seasoning To Taste
Directions

Butter the Cornish Hens with European Butter-season over with fresh pepper, garlic, salt and parsley. Stick cloves of fresh garlic inside cornish hens. Roast until done about 50 mins at 350.

Sauce:
Mix all dry ingredients into bowl, and saute on med- low heat with liquid ingredients.
Add the Chardonnay last.
This receipe is great as a side order especially with Cornish Hens, Steak and if you really want some excitement add to your favorite- (Angus Beef Burger). For extreme flavor- add sliced red, green and yellow peppers.

We love Cornish Game Hens. We split one in half and leave the second half for lunch the next day. They are amazing little birds and 1 is 4 servings for us. I love them slit and on he BBQ also, or in Asian dishes. Shanti/Mary-Anne
