Beef Tongue With Cranberry Sauce
|Beef tongue||4 Pound|
|Carrot||1 , chopped|
|Onions||2 , chopped|
|Celery stalks||3 , chopped|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Fresh cranberries||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Lemon||1 , sliced|
|Ground cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Step 1: Place tongue in crock cooker, and arrange vegetables around it.
Pour water and seasoning over it.
Cover and cook at Low for 10 to 12 hours.
Remove tongue, peel off skin, and remove roots at the base of the tongue.
Slice the meat, and keep warm.
Step 2: Boil sugar and water together in a saucepan for 5 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients, and boil 5 minutes longer.
