Chocolate Peppermint Sauce
|Chocolate||3 Ounce (unsweetened)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Half and half||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Peppermint extract||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
1. Put chocolate and water into a 2-quart glass measuring pitcher. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 2 1/2 minutes at High, or until chocolate melts; stir to blend.
2. Add sugar, corn syrup and salt to chocolate mixture; stir well. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes at High; stir every minute.
3. Remove from oven; gradually add half-and-half and peppermint extract, stirring until blended.
