Apricot Plum Sauce

I varied the ingredients of the original Chinese sauce recipe, added plums and a dozen of other fruits to it to suit my personal taste but I received a lot of compliments from everyone who tasted this Plum Sauce . And so, I thought of sharing this Plum Sauce with a few more people. Try it out and start complimenting!
Ingredients
  Plums 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Apricots 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pimiento 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Applesauce 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

1. Peel and pit fresh plums and apricots; chop pimiento. Combine in a saucepan with sugar, vinegar and applesauce.
2. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring; then simmer, covered, l hour.
3. Pour into jars while still warm and cap tightly. Store at least 1 month in a cool, dark place before using.
