|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), peeled|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Fresh lemon juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), squeezed|
|Chicken stock||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a small saucepan over medium heat, saute the garlic clove in the oil for 2 or 3 minutes to flavor the oil.
Remove and discard the garlic.
Add the lemon juice, chicken stock, and sugar to the boil.
Gently simmer for several minutes.
Dissolve the cornstarch in a tablespoon of water.
Whisk this mixture into the hot sauce and simmer, stirring, several minutes longer to thicken the sauce.
