Almond Chive Sauce
|Plain low fat yogurt||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whole almonds||10 , blanched|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Olive oil||2 Teaspoon|
|White wine vinegar/Cider vinegar||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground red pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon (Cayenne)|
|Snipped chives/Minced tarragon||2 Tablespoon (Fresh)|
1 In a food processor or blender, whirl 1/4 cup of the yogurt with the almonds, garlic, oil, vinegar, salt, and red pepperfor 15 seconds.
Using a rubberspatula, scrape down the sides of the work bowl; whirl 15 seconds longer.
2 Transferthe mixture to a small bowl and stir in the remaining yogurt and the chives.
Coverand refrigerate for at least 1 hour; will keep for up to 5 days
