Easy Cherry Sauce

|Sweet cherries||1 Cup (16 tbs), pitted|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Add water to cherries and cook 5 minutes.
Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch, add to cherries and cook 10 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add a little almond flavoring.
