|Powdered sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Beat the sugar and butter together until light in color, creamy, and extremely fluffy.
Add the rum or brandy and continue beating until thoroughly blended.
Granulated sugar may be used in this recipe if powdered sugar is not available my mother and father, as a matter of fact, preferred hard sauce made with granulated sugar. (Slightly more granulated sugar may have to be used to get the sauce to the proper stiffness.)
Chill and serve.
