Crushed Red Berry Sauce
|Thinly sliced strawberries/Frozen dry-pack strawberries||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), thawed|
|Raspberries/Frozen dry-pack raspberries, thawed||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1 In a medium-size bowl, sprinkle the strawberries with the sugar.
Cover and let stand for 1 hour at room temperature, allowing the berries to form their own syrup.
2 Mash the strawberries with a potato masher or wooden spoon, then add the raspberries and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors mellow.
