Chunky Sweet N Sour Sauce
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Packed light brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Low sodium soy sauce||4 Teaspoon|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Diced fresh pineapple||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Peeled seeded and chopped tomato||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Diced green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Diced onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot.
Add garlic; cook and stir 1 minute.
Add brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, paprika and water; stir until blended.
Cook over medium heat 1 minute.
In measuring cup, mix cornstarch with about 3 tablespoons sauce mixture.
Gradually stir cornstarch mixture into sauce mixture.
Add pineapple, tomato, green pepper and onion.
Cook, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes until sauce thickens and vegetables are crisp-tender.
