Fish With Wine Sauce
|Sliced mushrooms||2 1⁄2 Ounce, drained (1 Jar)|
|Dry sherry||1 Tablespoon|
|Chicken gravy base||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dairy sour cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Fish steaks||2 Pound (6, Fresh / Frozen)|
Arrange fish on greased cold broiler rack in pan.
Brush with half the melted butter; sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and dash pepper.
Broil 4 inches from heat 9 minutes.
Brush with remaining melted butter.
Broil 9 minutes longer.
Meanwhile, in small saucepan cook onion in the 1 tablespoon butter 5 minutes.
Add Chicken Gravy Base and 1/2 cup water.
Cook and stir till bubbly.
Mix sour cream and sherry; add to sauce mixture with drained mushrooms.
Heat through (do not boil).
