Apple Topping Sauce
|Tart apples||6 Medium|
|Orange peel||1 Tablespoon, freshly grated|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water/Apple juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon peel||1 Tablespoon, freshly grated|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Firmly Packed)|
Pare and core apples, cut into very thin slices.
Place in 2 quart casserole.
Mix together sugars, nutmeg, and peel; sprinkle over apples.
Dot with butter, pour hot liquid over all.
Cover; cook in Radarange oven 8 to 10 minutes, stirring at 3 minute intervals.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
