Apple Topping Sauce

Ingredients
  Tart apples 6 Medium
  Orange peel 1 Tablespoon, freshly grated
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot water/Apple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Lemon peel 1 Tablespoon, freshly grated
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Firmly Packed)
Directions

Pare and core apples, cut into very thin slices.
Place in 2 quart casserole.
Mix together sugars, nutmeg, and peel; sprinkle over apples.
Dot with butter, pour hot liquid over all.
Cover; cook in Radarange oven 8 to 10 minutes, stirring at 3 minute intervals.
Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
