Lemon Flavored Cherry Sauce

Ingredients
  Canned dark sweet cherries 17 Ounce, undrained (Pitted Or Unpitted, 1 Can Of 17 Ounce)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Grated lemon rind 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Drain cherry juice into a deep, 1 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole.
Set cherries aside.
Blend cornstarch into cherry juice until smooth.
Heat, uncovered, on full power 4 minutes or until thickened and clear.
Stir occasionally.
Add cherries, lemon juice and lemon rind to thickened cherry juice.
Stir to combine.
Heat, uncovered, on full power 1 minute or until sauce bubbles and cherries are hot.
Spoon over desserts.
