Sangria

Ingredients
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cinnamon stick 1
  Lemon 1 , unpeeled
  Bananas 2 , peeled
  Orange 1 , peeled
  Ice 1 Tablespoon
  Red wine 1 Quart
Directions

1 Boil water, sugar and cinnamon stick over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool and remove cinnamon stick.
2 Cut lemon, bananas and orange into thick slices and cover with the cooled syrup.
3 Chill for several hours.
4 Put ice in a glass pitcher and add the sliced fruit, half of the cinnamon syrup and the wine. Stir the mixture thoroughly, mashing the fruit slightly.
