Sangria Acapulco

Ingredients
  Orange 1⁄2
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dry red wine 3⁄4 Quart (1 Bottle)
  Orange flavored liqueur 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), flavored
  Club soda 7 Ounce (1 Bottle)
  Cracked ice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Thinly slice outer peel from orange with vegetable peeler.
Put peel in large pitcher with sugar.
Bruise peel with back of spoon to release oils.
Add wine and liqueur.
Chill 15 minutes.
Remove peel.
Add soda.
Garnish with thin orange slices, if desired.
