Meat Loaf Sandwiches With Spicy Sauce

|Lean ground beef||1 Kilogram|
|Bread crumbs||375 Milliliter|
|Tomato juice||125 Milliliter|
|Chopped parsley||25 Milliliter|
|Dijon mustard||15 Milliliter|
|Worcestershire sauce||15 Milliliter|
|Hot pepper sauce||2 Milliliter|
|Crusty italian bun||12 Large|
|Olive oil||25 Milliliter|
|Hot pepper flakes||1 Milliliter|
|Canned tomatoes||796 Milliliter|
|Chopped hot pickled peppers||25 Tablespoon|
In skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion and garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in bowl, combine meat, eggs, bread crumbs, tomato juice, parsley, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, hot pepper sauce and pepper.
Mix in onion mixture.
Line 9- X 5-inch (2 L) loaf pan with parchment paper or foil.
Pat meat mixture into pan; cover with foil.
Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 1 hour.
Remove foil and bake for 30 minutes longer.
Remove meat loaf from pan; let cool.
Spicy Sauce: Meanwhile, in deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion, garlic and hot pepper flakes until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes, breaking up with fork; cook for about 20 minutes or until thickened.
Stir in hot pickled peppers (if using), and salt and pepper to taste.
Arrange 1/2-inch (1 cm) slice of meat loaf on bottom halves of buns.
Top with about 2 tbsp (25 mL) sauce and remaining halves of buns.
Makes 12 sandwiches.
