FBLT Sandwich

A lighter and delicious alternative to a Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato sandwich.
Ingredients
  Tempeh strips 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Bread 1
  Lettuce 1
  Mayo 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Vegan)
Directions

Heat 3T oil in a fry pan, add Temeph strips, figure two strips per serving but dont over crowd the pan. Cook on each side (about 3 min per side) till browned. Remove strips and lay on a towel. To assemble the sandwich, cut two tempeh strips in half and lay on a slice of bread add lettuce and sliced tomato, spead mayo on top slice of bread and cut sandwich in half.

Story
I've discovered most often what food people crave is out of habit, growing up with certain familiar foods. A few years ago I discovered this to be a great introduction to vegetarian food for my kids friends and some of my diehard carnivorous friends.
