Zesty Luncheon Barbecue

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Small, chopped to make 1/2 cup
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Catsup 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vinegar 3 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Prepared mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Canned luncheon meat 24 Ounce (2 Cans, 12-Ounce Each)
  Sourdough bread/French bread 1⁄2 Pound, sliced
Directions

MAKING
1. In small skillet cook onion in butter till tender but not brown and mix well stirring in 1/3 cup water, catsup and next 4 ingredients.
2. Cut meat into 12 slices and place on grill.
3. Brush with sauce and grill over medium-hot coals 5 to 6 minutes per side, brushing occasionally with sauce.

SERVING
4. Serve on bread as closed or open-face sandwiches.
