Zesty Luncheon Barbecue
|Onion||1 Small, chopped to make 1/2 cup|
|Catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Canned luncheon meat||24 Ounce (2 Cans, 12-Ounce Each)|
|Sourdough bread/French bread||1⁄2 Pound, sliced|
1. In small skillet cook onion in butter till tender but not brown and mix well stirring in 1/3 cup water, catsup and next 4 ingredients.
2. Cut meat into 12 slices and place on grill.
3. Brush with sauce and grill over medium-hot coals 5 to 6 minutes per side, brushing occasionally with sauce.
4. Serve on bread as closed or open-face sandwiches.
