Tomato Basil Tea Sandwiches
|Cherry tomatoes||1 Pint (1 Carton)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened (1 Package)|
|Green onions||1 Bunch (100 gm), roughly chopped|
|Fresh basil leaves||14 (Use 4 Leaves For Garnish)|
|White bread loaf||1 , thinly sliced|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Bacon strips||1 Pound, cooked and crumbled|
Cut the cherry tomatoes in very thin slices.
Place the slices, cut side down, in a single layer on paper towels to drain.
In the bowl of a food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine the cream cheese, green onions, salt, and basil.
Pulse until the mixture is combined.
Spread a small amount of the cream cheese mixture on a slice of bread.
Cut each slice of bread into 3 fingers, removing the crusts.
Top each slice of bread with a layer of cherry tomatoes.
Season with salt and pepper, top with bacon, and garnish with a fresh basil leaf.
