Baked Turkey Cheddar Sandwiches
|Firm bread slice||12|
|Eggs||3 , beaten|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Seasoned salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Canned cream of mushroom soup||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Evaporated milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Undiluted)|
|Turkey broth/Chicken broth||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Undiluted)|
|Bottled thick condiment sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Diced cooked turkey||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Dip bread into mixture of eggs, milk, and seasoned salt.
Brown on both sides in hot butter.
Put 6 slices in shallow baking dish.
Mix soup, evaporated milk, broth, condiment sauce, pepper, and turkey.
Spoon on toast slices.
Top with remaining slices, and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for 15 to 20 minutes.
Good with succotash, sliced-tomato and watercress salad, and baked fresh pears.
