Peppery Meatball Sandwiches

  Meatballs 24 (Frozen)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Canned tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Fennel seed 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed
  French rolls 8
  Parmesan cheese/Crushed red pepper 1 Tablespoon
  Peppers 1
Directions

GETTING READY 1) In a large saucepan, combine meatballs and 1 cup of water to thaw freezer meatballs. 2) Boil and reduce the heat. 3) Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. MAKING 4) To meatballs, add tomato paste, tomato sauce, garlic powder, sugar, salt, fennel seed and oregano. 5) Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes and stir occasionally. 6) Meanwhile, halve the rolls and hollow out. 7) Fill each roll with 3 meatballs and some sauce. 8) Over meatballs, sprinkle cheese or crushed red pepper, if desired. SERVING 9) Serve hot with hot peppers.
