Zippy Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients
  Lean ground beef 1⁄2 Pound
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped for 1/2 cup
  Canned red kidney beans 8 Ounce (1 can)
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 can)
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Prepared mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Bottled hot pepper sauce 3 Dash (Few dashes)
  French rolls/Kaiser rolls 4 , split and toasted
  Alfalfa sprouts/Shredded lettuce 1 Cup (16 tbs) (optional)
Directions

In large skillet cook beef and onion till brown. Drain. Wipe skillet with paper towels. Return mixture to skillet.
Stir undrained kidney beans, tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, and dash pepper into meat mixture. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Then, simmer, uncovered, 3 minutes or till desired consistency.
Spoon meat mixture into rolls. Top with alfalfa sprouts or shredded lettuce, if desired.
