The Rich Boy Sandwich

  Italian bread loaf/French bread 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Mayonnaise 2 Tablespoon
  Prepared mustard 2 Tablespoon
  Marinated artichoke hearts 6 Ounce (1 jar)
  Capers 2 Tablespoon, rinsed and drained
  Onion 1⁄2 Small, thinly sliced into rings
  Tomato 1 Small, thinly sliced
  Assorted italian meats 1 1⁄2 Pound, sliced (mortadella, salami, prosciutto, roast beef, etc.)
  Sliced provolone cheese 1⁄2 Pound
  Sliced monterey jack cheese 1⁄4 Pound

Halve bread horizontally through center and place halves cut side up on work surface.
Spread mayonnaise on top half and mustard on bottom half.
Drain artichokes and cut into small pieces.
Arrange over mayonnaise.
Sprinkle with capers.
Top with onion and tomato slices.
Layer overlapping slices of meat with cheese on other half of bread, draping meat over edge slightly .
Close sandwich.
Wrap tightly and refrigerate or freeze.
To serve, cut sandwich into 8 portions.
Transfer to napkin-lined platter .
Open sandwich filling sides up.
Cook on High until cheese is melted and bread is heated through, about 40 seconds.
Close sandwich and serve immediately
