Hot Cheese Salami Sandwiches
|Shredded process cheese/2 jars, 5 ounce each, spreading cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Mayonnaise/Salad dressing||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Grated onion||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped ripe olives||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Unsliced sandwich loaf||1 (11 Inches Long)|
|Thin salami slices||20 Large|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
Blend first 4 ingredients; stir in olives.
Cut crusts from top and sides of loaf.
Make 1/2-inch slices, cutting to, but not through, bottom crust.
Spread facing sides of first cut with cheese filling.
Repeat with every other cut.
Insert 2 salami slices in each "cheese sandwich." Carefully spread remaining cheese mixture over top of loaf.
Tie loaf together with string.
Brush sides with butter.
Toast on baking sheet in moderate oven (350°) 25 to 30 minutes or till hot.
To serve, snip string and cut through bottom crust in sections without filling.
