Spicy Meatball Sandwiches
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soft bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Celery seed||1 Teaspoon|
|Hot pepper sauce||3 Drop, bottled|
|Hard rolls/Frankfurter buns||6 , split and toasted|
In a mixing bowl combine egg, milk, bread crumbs, onion, and 3/4 teaspoon salt.
Add meat; mix well.
Shape mixture into 18 meatballs; arrange in 10x6x2-inch baking dish.
Micro-cook, covered, 9 minutes, turning and rearranging meatballs twice.
Drain off fat.
In a 2-cup glass measure micro-cook garlic in butter 1 minute.
Stir in catsup, chili sauce, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, celery seed, the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, and hot pepper sauce.
Micro-cook, uncovered, till mixture boils, about 2 1/2 minutes, stirring twice.
Pour sauce over meatballs.
Micro-cook till sauce bubbles, about 2 1/2 minutes, stirring twice.
Serve meatballs with sauce in hard rolls.
